Military Service Academies

Admission is very competitive. There are rigorous physical and academic requirements.

Students receive a full scholarship upon admission.

Service time is required upon graduation from the academy (most branches require at least five years of active service.
The U.S. Navy

Building a strong future-The Navy pays up to $50,000 in benefits towards a college degree. Sailors can earn college credits while they serve in the Navy.

The U.S. Coast Guard

Qualifications-Must be a U.S. citizen between the ages of 17 and 27, have a high school diploma, have no more than two dependents, take and pass the ASVAB test, and take and pass a medical exam.

Boot Camp-Boot camp is 8 weeks long, you will learn first aid, fire fighting, weapons handling, and practical seamanship. Attend daily physical fitness classes and practice water survival techniques
The U.S. Air Force

Training-Learn to become a Special Forces Combat Diver at Key West Naval Air Station in Florida. Study at U.S. Army Basic Airborne School in Georgia. Practice at the Military FreeFall School in Arizona, and learn Air Force Combat Survival at the Air Force base in Washington.

Qualifications-U.S. citizen, must be a volunteer, must be a male, have a general score of at least 43 on the ASVAB test, and must be able to pass a Class III flight physical.

Programs-If looking to become a Marine there are many different programs you can enlist in such as Infantry, Infantry Support, Communications/Electronics Repair, Electronics Technician, Legal Administration, Transportation, Public Affairs, Military Police, Data Systems, Construction, and Utilities, Audio/Visual Systems, Aviation Mechanic, Aviation Support, Service Management, Electronic Warfare/Intel, and Food Services.

Delayed Entry Program-If you're qualified for a particular enlistment option and interested in becoming a Marine, but need to get things together or finish school, consider the delayed entry program. This program allows you to prepare for the challenge of becoming a Marine and counts toward your total military service obligation.
