California Community Colleges

 

The California Community College system is made up of over 100 colleges throughout the state. Each college offers diverse educational programs with specializations that reflect the local region. Education at a CA community college is affordable. Students attend community college for various goals, including earning an associate degree, receiving professional training, and transferring to a 4-year college.

At our local community colleges (Golden West, Orange Coast College, and Coastline College), HBHS students are eligible to receive FREE TUITION through the PROMISE PROGRAM. See links below for promise program info by college

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Requirement for Admission

High school diploma or 18 years old.

 

General Application Steps

  1. Apply Online: CCC Apply & College Applications (late fall/winter)

  2. Complete the Promise Program Application (if necessary, check each school for application info)

  3. Apply for financial aid: FAFSA or Dream Act Application.

  4. Complete an Orientation.

  5. Meet with a Community College Counselor to create an Educational Plan.
